I think you’re right Mick. It must have something to do with the contacts. This lens snaps in real tight and I have used it on my D60 with no problem. What was funny was that I had a shutter speed of 1/60 on the LCD and 1/2500 in the view finder. The lens had stopped way down so the photo was almost black. The camera obviously wasn’t communicating correctly with the lens but having just gotten the camera back from Nikon Repair it caused some concern. Pretty much has to be the contacts.
