Apologies for jumping into your thread. I'm aging too, so I share the same concern. I have tried the diopter and it does seem to help. Can we gain even more focusing ability by what I think would be the next logical step - the magnifying eyepiece? I've been considering buying one, but don't know their practical limitations in terms of what kind of photography they would be suited for or not suited for. Thx.
