It appears if you have the most up to date firmware the answer is theoretically yes. The D700 apparently used to top out at 30mb/second write speed, however it now appears the top end is around 42 mb/second using the most up to date Lexar 1000x cards.

Rob Galbraith keeps a database for a number of cards tested with specific cameras. Here is the up to date page on the D700:

Note, the cards all have stated read/write speeds: The Sandisk Extreme is 60/mb per second, your Kingston card is theoretically 90mb/second - but you never actually acheive that speed.

You can see from his chart that the Kingston card performs no where near its specified speed, finishing well below the Sandisk.
