That bracketing thing will get you every time. I remember my test run of the brand new 24 1.4G with the D700. I was looking at the photos and could not believe it. One was good, but the other two just awful. I quit shooting ready to return this "turkey" of a lens. All in the sudden it dawned on me: maybe the bracketing is on. Sure enough! I started the shoot all over again - the lens is great!
