Be sure you are in Matrix-metering mode. I had some blown highlights and later found out I forgot and left the camera in sopt metering.

Be sure to NOT use a lossy compressed RAW, but only uncompressed or LOSSLESS compressed.

Also, try the 14-bit RAW mode. There is some debate in this forum on whether it helps in blown highlights of shadows.
