"RE: Wireless remote & D700"
The 10-pin remote is a Nikon standard for all but the low-end consumer dSLRs. Remotes that work for D3, D200, D300, D2X, etc. all work with one another, and work with the D700.Having said that, there is a thriving business in 3rd party remotes for the Nikon market. Here is a typical example readily available on eBay:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200244265172It is well regarded (I bought one) and I've personally seen 100m range with this RF remote shutter release. $31 delivered is much lower than any equivalent offered by Nikon. An updated and smaller model is also available, with a higher price (currently $46.50, delivered):http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180275501545Simply search eBay for "Nikon Wireless Remote D300" and all sorts of options pop up. If you add "Cleon" to the search string, the two models described above will appear, by themselves.- Bob Elkind
