Larry's example has trees round the edge - I think that would tend to cover up any vignetting, whereas plain sky is much more testing.

It just shows that FX isn't all a bed of roses - it's much more demanding on lenses.

Anyway, my D700 arrives tomorrow so I too shall soon be fretting over vignettting and insufficient range :wibble:
