Whilst Nikkor lenses have a worldwide warranty, Nikon SLR cameras have a country- (or region-) specific warranty. At this stage of the D700's life, actual discounts are likely to be very rare, so I'd assume the second company is offering a "grey import" rather than an official Nikon UK camera. This typically makes it difficult to obtain service under warranty if it is required.
