epson 1280 question

...and this may be the result of my rather simple color management practices (Adobe Gamma only for the monitor and canned print color spaces for Epson papers)...but I find that prints are always a bit darker than the screen display. At least part of this has to be due to the fact that the print is based on reflected light while your monitor is emitting light to form the image. Your monitor can achieve brightness and constrast levels not achievable on paper. I've learned to account for this effect based on past experience with my monitor and printer.
