Good- if not surprising news.The Coolscan V ED has absolutely no problem dealing with Kodachrome.Having said that, You need to set the machine, and Nikon Scan 4, correctly.If you do as I did initially,ie, just plonk a slide in it, the results are quite poor.Clearly, my recent, improved results aren't optimum- but they are OK for me.Suggest you set your machine as I did, and be prepared to vary settings- particularly with ref to how bright it was when you exposed your Kodachrome.A great tool- but takes a bit of using!
