My Epson 3200 Photo and my Epson r2880 worked fine in Snow Leopard.
They stopped working when I upgraded to Lion.

My 2007 Mac is hardware-obsolete; I cannot upgrade to Mountain Lion.

Imagine my surprise when neither Epson nor Apple had Lion drivers for neither my scanner nor printer.

The Epson site essentially says use the inferior Mac Image Capture or invest in Silverfast for the scanner.

As for r2880 drivers, the Epson website cannot detect my OS; I select 10.7.x; result:
"no drivers, use Apple software Update." Update does not find drivers.

I somehow managed to get the r2880 Snow Leopard driver working in Lion.

It's as if Lion is Apple's Windows Vista.
