I converted from PC to Mac almost 6 years ago, have used the 2200 and 2880 with no problem (that I didn't cause).
1. Always Preview (if your prints don't match the screen, your print will stink). 2. Don't bother to look for Mac updates on Epson's website. Apple pushes new drivers when they become available. The Epson website has downloadable drivers for Mac OS 10.4.4 to 10.5.8 only.
"Attention Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7 Users: Newer drivers may be available directly from Apple. After installing this file, please view our Mac OS X Software Update Instructions page for details." (trans: turn on printer, allow update to run)
I used Profile: Managed by Printer, then in the print dialog selected the paper and made sure Color Settings was Off.
