I used Spyder Elite II for a number of years. It was good. At least when I printed work I usually had to correct the colour and density pretty much the same when I sent it to a lab.
I just sold it a month ago to someone. Maybe see if you can get a used system from someone who's upgraded like I did. I upgraded to a monitor and printer calibration system ColorMunki.

Even better if you can pick up a used system like that but depends what your needs are. The Syder Elite I had would only calibrate 1 monitor. Haven't looked, the newer versions may do more than one (if you need such software.) These two calibration systems are easy to install and use. Good Luck.
