you might be able to find this scanner on eBay. Used are under $1000.

It comes with a 50-slide carrier, but a 140-slide carrousel works, also.
I loaded the carousel with 100 slides, went to bed, and it was still churning in the morning.
It's a choice between speedy, noisy, dusty/scratched jpgs; or horrendously slow de-noised TIFs.

Epson makes great flatbed scanners, but it's labor-intensive to change out 8-10 slides at a time.

Digital ICE is the time-killer.
