Joseph -- I open a file, do something with it and save it. If I simply use the menu to safe the file, it reduces a 15+mb file to 3-4mb. If, on the other hand, I say "safe as," and click on options, and click on saving with the lowest compression (1) and highest quality (12), then I get the file saved with just about the same size. With previous versions, I could basically choose setting where my jpgs were always saved at the highest possible resolution/lowest compression.
