I'm interested in knowing if there is a significant number of Linux users in the Nikonians family. I am a systems programmer with detailed knowledge of TIFF internals and I enjoy using Open Source software to process my images from a Nikon D200. Currently I use either RawStudio or RawTherapee to do the RAW to TIFF conversion and either GIMP or FotoXX to do additional processing. Recent developments in Color Space management with icc profiles has made a huge improvement in this process. My needs are for ICC profiles for my Nikon Coolscan IV ED slide scanner and various color printer profiles. I haven't used Windows in so long that I doubt I can install Nikon software just to extract the color profiles that come with the software. Does anyone know of a source of ICC profiles for the Nikon Coolscan scanners? I would also like to find a source of Adobe Lens Correction profiles that can be used to automatically correct for falloff and distortions known to exist with various lenses.

Is anyone interested in discussing image processing under Linux?
