Hi Dean,

Located east of Mono lake, the great western divide, this part known also as the Mono Divide. Tioga Pass via Lee Vining canyon, as you likely know, and the east road into Yosemite. Mt. Dana, Gibbs, Tioga etc. straddle that backdrop, truly amazing country any time of year.

It (Tioga) was closed in early October, then reopened lacking snow but closed for season late January.

As far as the images here, OP Bob, would you mind posting up the Camera info, exposure, ISO, Lens and I'd personally be interested in the time of day as well. (guessing AM, after sunrise, winter)

That lone pinion pine mid background, always a hoot.

Great stuff regardless.

Thanks,

Rob
