It's called Masking in my English version. The full term is Edge Masking, I think.

My understanding of Lightroom is that it is supposed to be calibrated for each model - so that, in theory, 75 Sharpening Amount is supposed to be similar for a D3 and a 1Dx. I usually sharpen a fair amount, but I barely touch the Amount slider on the x10's files, for the reason that started this thread. I also have to lower the radius more for the smaller sensor cameras. It's a good thing that the editing is visible, because I'd have a tough time achieving a consistent standard of output otherwise.

I'm using LR4.3, BTW. My recollection is that this problem is more apparent (and possibly more severe) with LR4.x than it was with LR3. In fact, I'm using Process 2012, and it's entirely possible that this is an artifact of 2012 compared to Process 2010.
