After years of frustration in discovering, only after the processed film returned, that my highly anticipated effort at capturing family history or a moment needing to be recorded for all time, did not escape operator error, I reluctantly turned to the new digital world.
And at 71 it feels so good because instant gratification abounds, and it has allowed me to stake out the role of being the go-to source for prized family pics sent via Internet, the ubiquitous iSomething, etc. At my age I'd rather frustrate myself with mastering the new technology than resurrecting the past's old shortcomings.
But the nostalgia in us all can easily explain reversion to the film habit, if only so long as to be reminded that digital is immediate and no less creative if one moves beyond P&S.
I have come to enjoy reading the shares in this non-Nikon section. And am awaiting the new Fuji X20 release for an upcoming trip. Have a great day!
