I tried everything around my house at night to create and orb. Could not get one. I thought that they might have started putting in the new sensor before announcing it. You probably known that the "21" means first quarter of 2012. In understand from all other information that the "22" cameras do have the new sensor.
I went outside during the day and took photos of some shiny objects, at ISO 100 trying to create them. I also specifically did some chrome highlights on cars to create them. I was finally able to create a few by those shots, but I would have never noticed them unless I enlarged the area quite large and was looking for them.
I have gone outside at night and taken photos of lamps on the outside of houses, etc. and not been able to create them.
Because of this, i have not sent my camera in for exchange. It just not yet has been an issue and I don;t see the need. I plan on going to the beach and trying some photos of reflections to see if they happen and some other night lights to see if they happen.
My camera has not produced the extremes I have seen in the "14" serial cameras.
I will try that in the next few days and let you know.
