Thanks for the reply, this is still a work in progress. I just called the dealer where I looked at the X10 and they told me the SN began with 21xxxx, so now I'm not sure if it has the sensor problem. This is too much work . I too am pretty confident I can make the camera "work", now I need to check in with my spouse to make sure that the X10 is something that she would enjoy carrying or if the LX3 footprint is much preferable. Over time her photography has improved (she works at it) to a degree that I really do want a higher percentage of the travel pics she takes to be a part of the final portfolio. She has a good eye, but the low light performance of the LX3 often just compromises the final images too much.
Roger It's still, ISO, aperture and shutter-speed, right?
