There are no manual focus aids. But I don't have a problems using the viewfinder with any of my lenses. Because of the EVF the view is always bright in any lighting. In the case of the Leica 560mm, which has very quick trombone in/out focusing, the view snaps in and out of focus quite nicely.
With my Leica screw mount and M lenses the focus is much more accurate then the mechanical rangefinder of the Leica bodies.
edit: By the way my Nikon to M4/3 adapter allows changing the aperture on my AFS lenses. So every Nikon lens I own can be used on the OM-D E-M5 body, and with the built in Olympus image stabilization which you can optimize for any focal length lens you're using.
