Yes, my first SLR was an SR-T 101 back in the early 1970's.

I stuck with Minolta through various models (XE-1, XD-7, 7000, 7000i, 600si, 9xi...) and technology upgrades, including autofocus (which as you say they were first with in a practical offering) until I started contemplating the move to digital. At that time (around 2002) they didn't have an obvious product plan so I burned my boats and switched to Nikon. To be honest I would probably always have been Nikon other than the price factor when I was younger...!
