I found many times that there was insufficient clearance between the edges of the clamp and the lever to re-set the lever's orientation and still re-engage the tension mechanism. color=red>

Presumably if I am confused others might be too... and since this is apparently not documented on their site it would be good to get it clearly documented here.
I have twice discussed some technical issues with RRS phone support, and neither left me satisfied. It was in regard to my RRS Long Lens Support.
I've come to the conclusion that their products are very good, for what they are, but not to rely on tech support. I need to rely on my own devices for that, and since the products are bought mail order that can be a problem when subtle or complex issues might be involved.
