"RE: Monopod?"

I was covering a golf tournament the other day and one combination I used was my D2Xs + 80-200mm f.8 AFD ED. Although the light was allowing me to get 1/1000 at f8 (loads of light here in the gulf) I used my monopod all the time - it made for ease of use basically; just having it resting on the 'pod lightened the load and freed up my hands to shoot with my D200 + 20-35mm f2.8 AFD for crowd shots etc. when necessary.

Necessary? No; made life easier? absolutely...

D3X + 20mm f2.8 AFD + 105mm f2.8 AFD + 300mm f4 AFS

Hunger pays a heavy price to the shining Gods of speed and steel
