I've been looking to get a second good quality tripod. Looking at the specs, there seems not to be much weight difference between aluminum and CF. But the price difference is huge. Is CF really much stronger/stiffer? The largest lens I have is a 300 f/4 and that's probably the largest I'll ever have. What brands are decent that don't cost too much? Induro? Benro? 3 Legged Thing? Redged? The only brand I'm familiar with is Manfrotto.
