That looks like a very good solution.

I tried to make something similar using freestanding backdrop poles, but your monopoles - with their ability to wedge into place - look a lot more solid. I do have a false ceiling in my studio so I could easily build something to support the ends.

That looks like it's worth a try! Thanks for the tip!
