JRP - thanks for the update.

Buying the head with the release plate not attached is a very good solution.

The Markins lever clamp is adjustable and should work well with any plate system, but a mix of plates could be problematic if there are small differences in size.

I don't use Loctite either. I have had to replace a lever release so being able to remove it makes sense. I keep the wrench to attach the plate in my emergency kit along with hex a key and other tools.
