Some buyers in the past were interested in this option and we gave it to them, to mount another brand of lever clamp.
Today, Markins also have a lever clamp, so the interest on clamp-less ball heads has subsided to almost zero.


In the past, paranoid users added Loctite to both the clamp post, the clamp to the post and the ball head to the tripod.
All we could do was to recommend in those cases to use Blue Loctite as against Red Loctite that needs a torch to separate, should they later change their mind on tripod or clamp.

I don't use Loctite of any color
