You may want to ask Thomas Gavin (Rescuedude) who used one at the ANPAT 12 in New Mexico.
We have not seen his images.

This is the shot I made then, comparing his Traveler to a Series 5 (yours) and a Series 3 (Larry's)

If you could get a Series 2 Traveler that would be better.

When the Traveler came out I think I tried to use it without center column but can't remember if that was possible or not.
