I've tried to find a solution: when I use my 15-200 or 70-300 lens on the D7000, with the tripod head rotated to landscape, I can't get the plate tight enough to stop the camera and lens falling forward. Cameras used to have a hole for a pin in the plate to stop this but not any more?

Do I have to use an L bracket? What other options are there?
I thought of velcro but I'm not really happy wsith that thought.
