You need to make a decision about what brand and "style" of tripod you want/need.
You have indicated an interest in the Manfrotto 055 XPRO3. That tripod uses a "center column". The center column can be lowered, but is still not considered as stable as using a non-center column tripod. If you decide on a Gitzo their "systemmatic" models don't have a center column but can be added at an additional cost, or you can buy their "Mountaineer" model that comes with the center column.
It becomes a choice of "ultimate stability" and simplicity over convenient height adjustment.
