I have been keeping a generic plate around with the intention of putting it under my x10. So far however, tripods and the x10 have been mutually exclusive except for the test session when I made sure that the plate (literally from Arca-Swiss) fit the x10 and also didn't look too awfully silly on the Markins M20. (It is pretty silly in appearance.) In general if I'm shooting with the x10, I almost certainly don't have a tripod around, precisely because the x10 is for traveling light and for generally less serious photography.
