I currently use the Manfrotto 055XB Tripod with a Kirk BH-1 ballhead, and my longest lens is a Nikon 28-300mm attached to a D7000. I see Gitzo is offering a $40.00 mail-in rebate until June 30th and with free shipping it may be the time to upgrade.
So, I am trying to decide between the ever popular GT3542LS and the GT3532LS. I kind of like the idea of sticking with a three-section leg, but can anyone tell me why the GT3542LS and it's four-legs are so much more popular? For some reason there seems to be one GT3532LS owner for every thirty GT3542LS owner - my guesstimate .
