With the Foveon X3 CMOS coming out, the D100's imaging technology is obsolete before it comes out the door. I was really excited about the D100 when Nikon first announced it, but now it looks inadequate.

This along with other things I don't like about the D100:
- 1.5x imaging relative to film
- no exposure reading on most Nikon lenses
- no multiple exposures
- no mirror lockup

I'll probably wait until they come up with a new digital SLR using X3. I don't think they can be competitive if they don't.
