No dust barrier. The sensor will require occasional cleaning, hence the AC-powered mirror lockup.

The Sigma solution may or may not be a good idea. We won't know until someone can get a camera and do some shooting. The sigma barrier does look like it restricts how deeply the last lens element can project into the camera body. I don't know what the lens design implications are, but then you can only use Sigma lenses with the camera.

1
