Guys, I'm really on the fence regarding the Sony. I tried one out in the camera store and felt it was much better that my D300s which is my every day camera and gets used a lot. If and I mean if we don't see a D400 DX camera soon I might migrate to Sony. I stop by the camera store in town from time to time just to see what Sony has to offer and I'm pretty impressed. My favorite all time body is my D2x and I'd love to see a DX body with the D4's form factor. As for the D7100 I tried it when it first came out and I didn't like it, maybe I need to go back to BestBuy and try it out again before taking the plunge. I have to admit that I like the D300s viewfinder better than the EVF but the EVF is something I could get used to. And lastly, I have both the Tamron 17-50VC and the Nikkor 17-55 and almost always grab the Tamron because of the VC. The Sony with camera body image stabilization makes all of the lenses on the Sony an IS lens which is something that's very appealing to me and I think I could love the 16-50 because of the IS.
