"RE: Lens for indoor sports"
It may be that this is just out of my reach. With a d200 there is no way I can shoot 3200 iso. I can get an acceptable noise level at 800 to 1600, but that's it.The "toy" budget doesn't allow for a $1400 lens on a $300 camera, so my question has been more or less answered; Not for me, because I'm too casual a "photograbber" to justify the expense. In what I consider the darkest dungeon of hockey, I can do f5.6 @ 1/160th @1600 iso, so maybe a 2.8 will get me closer to what I want, or even a 1.4. My budget is no more than $400, which I know is truly limiting, but there it is.Thanks for all your pointers, folks. Maybe a yard sale...(ha)
