Bill. Yes it would take a month to drive it from Chicago to LA. Following 66 is not as easy as it sounds. It seems simple, for example in Tulsa, left on 193rd, right on 11th, 11th will go into 10th for a short distance, the back into 11th, left on Southwest Blvd. But it turned out to be like-"Where's 193rd....OK forget 193rd, how do I get to 11th...How did I end up on 12th....This is not Southwest Blvd" That's why I wish it was still a US Highway, so every turn would have a sign with the direction you need to go.
