The hole in FPS is what makes me hope a D400 is on the way. It seems odd that Nikon would make serious wildlife photogs who like DX pay 6000.00 to get a high frame rate. The D7100 is a paltry 5 or 6 in 1.3 crop which isn't terrible but it's not the 8 FPS of the D300. Plus, D7100's lack many features like a dedicated af-on, 10 pin connector and pro style layout. Personally, I hope the D400 is something like 18-20 MPX with a crazy high frame rate and improved ISO performance.
