I don't expect you will be able to critically evaluate images sized for the web. Web sized images are downsized from the native image. And the type of post processing can significantly change the apparent sharpness.

Most of the images on my website are from the D300. I've taken almost 90,000 images with a pair of D300's. It's an excellent camera.
