Neil, Thanks. BTW never took offense to anything stated by anyone here. I have a decent amount of knowledge but don't know more then I know, and I have even less experience than many photographers on this forum.
I do a relatively wide variety of shooting. My albums in the link below my name would give anyone an idea of what kind of a shooter I am. Most of us form opinions about products based on our personal use.
I keep this in mind even when reading reviews. Some may be interested in cost, IQ, size, durability, frames/sec, handling, features, reach, low light, DOF etc it goes on.
It at first seemed to me the 7100 had it all for a DX shooter. I am of average wieght and build and wear medium gloves. I rarely shoot more than 10 frames at once and rarely need to wait for my buffer. I have climbed mountains, skied, hiked and mountain biked with my gear. It's durable enough for me. etc. You get my point.
