Nikon has designated the new D7100 as their "flagship of the DX format" line of cameras which to me means they are aligning the DX format with the comsumer market. The inclusion of "scenes" in the D7100 reinforces my belief. I owned a D300 before moving to a D3 and it was/is a great camera body. The D200/D300 "prosumer" body was a game changer. Just my 2 cents.
