I just sold my D300 for not much more than $500 when buying a D600 (ouch). My second body is a Fuji X100 these days. And a F100 that is seldom used, but primed for action..
If I hadn't sold it a while back but I might have kept the D200 though, especially at a lower price as I preferred it to the D300 - I'm not quite sure why but it took better photographs and I loved the colours. That said I love the D600, and if I had a second body it would not get used except if...
From time to time camera bodies need repair, and the D200 is a terrific learning camera. And having two bodies enables you to switch lenses without switching bodies.
