Hey Eric, the film is HP5 B&W and I processed it myself. I am actually in the process of scanning it right now. Most of the issues seem to be with image clarity. Even with the 16-85VR it seems that my film images are sharper.
I few months ago I took some portrait shots of a family and one person in the group would be tack sharp and the other members of the family would be slightly out of focus. Of course for these shots I had lights set up and of course a tripod.
