Interesting. Maybe EMF tests wuth later models after D100 were more strict so either shielding or cancelling sources were better implemented in later models.
I recall first digital calculators had also strong EMF many years ago.
I'm not an expert, but standards for EMF of electronic control devices are quite strict.

May sound silly but may I ask what is "railfanning"? Never heard or read such word.....
