I use my D200 mostly to photograph musicians in dimly lit venues. I did not have 2.8 glass initially. When the D300 came out, I decided that getting 2.8 glass would give me more stops for the buck, and got a 17-55 and a 70-200 instead. I decided to bypass the D300 and get the D400 when it would come out. I am still shooting with the D200 and doing lots of pp ... hoping a new top of the line DX will be available soon.
