Quote>I stopped into a store and handled the new D600 2 weeks ago. I have been debating buying it in addition to my D300 since. The thing that bothers me is the FPS rate is slower than my D300. I have been shooting more and more sports for my children and others and I yearn for a little faster, not a little slower. I simply cannot afford (nor will my wife allow) a D3s or D4. If the D600 was 7-8 FPS it would be in my bag already. Do others have similar feelings on this subject?<Quote<<<
We do Sporting Events including MotoCross and do not need high Frames per second. Fast and accurate focusing are much more important! I have my wife's D600 set for 3fps to avoid two shots of the same subject every time she takes a picture. I have my D800 set for 4fps, but some Photographers have theirs set for Single release and rely on superior timing to "get the shot".
If you want a "can't miss" machine gun get a D4. But it will not make you a better photographer.
