Hi Chris,

The D300/D300s have about a 2-stop advantage in high ISO performance over the D200. The D7000 has about a 1-stop advantage over the D300 series bodies in high ISO performance.

To minimize the noise regardless of the body you are using always try to nail the exposure. Have you considered using Noise Ninja or other noise reduction software?
