I shot the D600 today. In earnest. Based on what I saw today, I have to believe the new D400 will not be DX. I think it will make the jump to FX much as the D2 to D3 transition did some years ago.
Don't get me wrong. I would LOVE a DX D400. But the sensor in the D600 is incredible. The sensor is good enough to make me retire the D3s. The body however, is not. A D400 might be able to change that.
